CODE OF CONDUCT
At Natun Asha Nidhi Limited, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of conduct and professionalism. Our code of conduct serves as a guiding framework for every officer of the organization, ensuring that we maintain integrity, transparency, and trust in all our interactions. The following principles outline our expectations for behavior and ethical standards:
- Every officer shall maintain good conduct, discipline, punctuality, and show courtesy and attention to all persons in their transactions or dealings with the Society.
- Every officer shall discharge their duties with utmost integrity, honesty, devotion, and diligence, and avoid any actions that may tarnish the image of the organization. Cases of fraud and dishonesty will result in dismissal and may lead to legal action.
- An officer shall maintain strict confidentiality regarding the affairs of the society and its members, signing a declaration of fidelity and secrecy in the prescribed form.
- No officer shall engage in any external trade, business, or accept employment or fees for work done outside the organization.
- No officer shall participate actively in politics or stand for elections outside or inside the society.
- No officer shall participate in gambling or speculative activities involving shares, stocks, securities, commodities, or valuables. However, officers may make genuine investments with their personal funds.
- An officer shall refrain from personal dealings with members or service providers of the society that could result in undue financial advantages.
- No officer shall personally guarantee the financial obligations of another person or agree to indemnify another person without prior approval from the society.
- An officer shall manage their private affairs responsibly to avoid insolvency or excessive indebtedness. Issuing checks without sufficient balance is considered serious misconduct and will be met with stringent disciplinary action.
- No officer shall engage in any form of sexual harassment, including unwelcome physical contact, demands for sexual favors, making sexually colored remarks, showing pornography, or any other unwelcome conduct of a sexual nature. Any complaints will be addressed by a designated Complaints Committee.
- Every officer shall submit an annual return of assets and liabilities, including details of property, financial securities, bank deposits, and debts incurred. Failure to submit these statements may result in disciplinary action.
- An officer should not accept gifts or benefits of significant value from individuals or organizations having official dealings with the society, or from junior officers, to maintain the integrity of official relationships.
- No officer shall attempt to manipulate or use unfair methods in any examination or test conducted by the society or any other authority or institution.
- An officer shall comply with the terms and conditions of any loans, advances, or facilities granted by the society.
- No officer shall use their position or influence to secure employment for family members in private undertakings that have official dealings with the society.
- No officer shall grant loans or advances on behalf of the society to themselves, their spouse, family members, or entities with which they have personal connections, without prior approval.
- Officers shall not contribute the society’s funds or assets to any political candidate, party, charity, or similar organization unless permitted by law/regulation and pre-approved by authorized representatives of the society.
- Officers shall comply with all lawful and reasonable directions given by superiors within the organization.
- An officer shall comply with all lawful and reasonable directions which may from time to time be given to him by an officer under whose control he may be placed.
- Officers who suspect violations of the letter or spirit of the Bank’s laid down systems, procedures or staff rules have an obligation to report their concerns to the society’s designated Vigilance Officer,seceratry, vice-chairman and chairman.
